A finish is chosen the way a stone is: with care, with reference samples, and a sense of how it will age. We produce physical samples for every project, in the substrate the final piece will use.

Dekap began in 2009 around the gold-plating bench of a small family workshop. The atelier learned the grammar of surface in the slowest possible way: by working on it, every day. Design, engineering, production and every surface treatment now sit under one roof.
