Gold and Platinum Plated Service

Electrochemical coating is the process of coating another metal or alloy on a metal surface using electrochemical methods.

Electrochemical coating is the process of coating another metal or alloy on a metal surface using electrochemical methods. This coating process is used in a variety of industries and can impart different properties depending on the purpose of the coating and the metal combination to which it is applied.

Electrochemical coating process is based on the principle of precipitation of coating materials dissolved in a chemical solution called electrolyte onto a metal surface by electrolysis method. The coating materials dissolved in the electrolyte form the coating metal used as the positive electrode (anode) and the metal surface to be coated as the negative electrode (cathode). During the electrolysis process, the ions of the coating metal are separated from the anode, the dissolved ions in the electrolyte move towards the cathode and precipitate there and adhere to the metal surface.

Thanks to this coating process, desired properties can be obtained on the coated surface. For example, gold or silver plating is used for aesthetic and protective purposes, nickel plating increases wear resistance, and chrome plating can increase corrosion resistance.

Electrochemical coating is widely used in the automotive industry, electronics industry, jewelry and watch manufacturing, medical devices, optical devices and many more. In this way, the performance and service life of many materials can be increased.

Gold and Platinum plating services are offered for your products in our facility.
